Instructions
Grouper Dogs
  1. In a dish with a lip big enough to fit your pieces of fish mix 1/2 cup of the fish fry mix and 4 tablespoons of water. It should be the consistency of a thick paste.
  2. Put the rest of the fish fry mix on another plate for your breading/coating stations.
  3. Cut the grouper filet up into strips that will fit into your hot dog buns. I cut my filet into four pieces that were about 1.5″x6″ or so.
  4. Dip one of the filet slices into the breading paste, making sure to coat the entire filet. Then dip the paste coated filet into the dry breading, coating each side.
  5. Spray all sides of the breaded filet with cooking spray and place in the air fryer basket. Repeat steps 4 & 5 until all filets are coated and in the air fryer basket.
  6. Air fry at 325F for 7 minutes or until the breading is crisp, slightly golden, and the fish flakes when broken.
  7. If desired toast the buns in the air fryer at 350F for 2 minutes.
  8. Serve each filet in a bun and drizzle with tarter sauce, remoulade, or lemon juice and enjoy!
Tarter Sauce
  1. Add the mayonnaise, stone ground mustard, and sweet relish to a small bowl. Stir to combine.
Spicy Remoulade
  1. Add the mayonnaise, ketchup, stone ground mustard, and sriracha to a small bowl. Stir to combine.
