  1. Place 1 tablespoon of the butter, the frozen bag of peppers and onions, and the minced garlic in a large frying pan over medium high heat. Cook until the peppers and onions are thawed and begin to caramelize.
  2. If you want smaller chunks of peppers and onions you can cut them up at this point, or just leave them in long strips.
  3. Add the milk, cajun seasoning, black pepper, and water to the pan. Mix and simmer until the sauce begins to reduce and thicken. If your sauce is not thickening up after about 5 minutes sprinkle either 1 teaspoon of cornstarch or 1 tablespoon of flour through a sifter into the sauce to help it thicken.
  4. Add the shrimp and cook until it is pink and fully cooked, about 5 minutes.
  5. Serve over rice and enjoy!
