For under $5 tandoori chicken skewers are a flavorful meal that goes well served with some Naan. Dipping the spicy chicken into the yogurt sauce is the perfect compliment to cool down your palate.
This would also go well with cucumber salad.

Instructions
Marinade
- Mix the coriander, cumin, turmeric, paprika, salt, chili powder, garlic powder together. Add the water and mix until combined.
Tandoori Chicken
- Dice the chicken into 1 inch cubes.
- Place the chicken into a bag or bowl with the marinate and allow to sit for at least an hour, but ideally overnight to marinate.
- Soak the wood skewers for at least 30 minutes before cooking. (This is so they don't burn as easily and catch fire.) Fill each skewer with the marinated chicken.
- Grill the chicken skewers until cooked through and the internal temperature of the chicken is 165F.
Yogurt Sauce
- Place the yogurt, cumin, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Peel the cucumber and shred it into the bowl with the yogurt.
- Chop the cilantro and add it to the bowl. Stir to combine everything until well mixed. Serve with finished chicken.
