This is the recipe that I would always make to bribe the guys that worked for me. They still request cuban sandwiches now, years later.
These can be enjoyed cold or squished in a panini press. My dad says you know they’re really Cuban when they’re cut at an angle so they have pointy ends, and I think he’s right. A true cuban restaurants I’ve never had a cuban sandwich not cut at an angle.

Ingredients
- 12 Rolls Cuban Bread this type of bread is light and fluffy and very different from Italian or baguettes
- 1 12 oz jar Dill Pickle Slices
- 1 Cup Mayonnaise
- 1/4 Cup Mustard
- 1 lb Sweet Ham thinly sliced
- 1 lb Spanish Pork thinly sliced, this can be found in the deli case at Publix.
- 1 lb Sliced Swiss Cheese

Instructions
- Cut the cuban bread in half lengthwise. Spread mayonnaise and mustard on the breads.
- Put pickles on both sides of the bread if you love them or just one if you only kinda like pickles.
- Layer ham on both sides of the bread, covering all of the pickles, using up all of the ham.
- Layer the Spanish pork on top of the ham until you've used all of it up. Place the swiss cheese on top of the pork. Squish the sandwich together and enjoy!
