Ingredients
Sweet Potato Filling
- 4 lbs Sweet Potatoes
- 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
Brown Sugar Pecan Topping
- 3 Tablsepoons Butter
- 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
- 3/4 Cup Chopped Pecans

Instructions
Sweet Potato Filling
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil and preheat the oven to 350F.
- Peel the potatoes and dice into small pieces. Add them to the boiling water and boil until soft but not falling apart, about 10 minutes.
- Drain and return the potatoes to the pot. Add the brown sugar, butter, and salt and mash the potatoes together until well mixed.
- Spread into a 9x9 baking dish.
Brown Sugar Pecan Topping
- Add the butter and brown sugar to a small bowl. Combine the butter and sugar by crumbling the two together with your fingers.
- Add the pecans and crumble everything together until it is pretty evenly distributed.
- Sprinkle the topping evenly over the mashed sweet potatoes.
- Bake for 30 minutes, until the topping is slightly crisped and enjoy!
