These quick and easy grilled cheese sandwiches are one of my favorite things to make for a weekend road trip. They’re really easy to eat in the car and are cheaper than getting fast food when we’re on the road! For under $5 make these pepperoni pizza paninis for your next picnic or road trip!

Rice Krispie Treats are also great road trip snacks!

Ingredients
- 6 slices Bread I like to buy a sliced Italian or garlic loaf from the old bread discount section at Walmart for $0.50.
- 6 Tablespoons Pasta Sauce pizza sauce is the same and works too
- 1/2 lb Sandwich Pepperoni Thinly sliced
- 4 oz Shredded Mozzarella Cheese slices work too

Instructions
- Plug in a George Foreman to begin heating while you prep the sandwiches. (If you don't have one a frying pan works too, you'll just have to cook them on both sides.)
- Place 1 Tablespoon of sauce onto each piece of bread. Follow this with pepperoni. I get mine sliced really thin so I like to fold them in half and I put about 6 slices per side of the sandwich.
- Cover one side of the sandwich with cheese (about 1/4 cup) and close the sandwich. Once all of the sandwiches are assembled, place them in the George Foreman and squish them! Cook until the cheese is melted. If using a frying pan, flip halfway through.

This is the George Foreman I have and I love it because the plates are removable and easy to clean.
