My Albanian friend Renis taught me how to make this in college. I love Savory Albanian French Toast because it’s cheap ($3 for two people), easy, and delicious!
This goes well with some homemade breakfast sausage or some cuban coffee!

Ingredients
- 5 slices Bread I like to buy the old sliced loaves at Walmart on sale for $0.50.
- 3 Eggs
- 2 Tablespoons Milk
- 1/2 Cup Feta Cheese
- 1 Tablespoon Butter

Instructions
- In a shallow dish wide enough to fit a slice of bread (I use a Tupperware) scramble the eggs and milk together. Add the feta and stir to combine well.
- Place the butter in a large frying pan on medium high heat to melt.
- Dip each slice of bread, one at a time into the egg mixture, pressing down so some feta crumbles get stuck to the bread. Flip and press down on the other side, so bot sides are coated.
- Let any excess egg drip off and place in the hot pan. Repeat until all bread is coated and egg and feta mixture is used up.
- Flip the toasts so that each side gets browned and crispy. Sprinkle some feta on top to serve and enjoy!
